Nest works to bring viability and visibility to the global artisan community through hands-on tools, training, and infrastructure support.

Van Bergen founded Nest at the age of 24 after graduating with a Master's Degree in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis.

She was also named a PBS Changemaker and one of CNN's Young People Who Rock.
