Toby Stuart

Toby E. Stuart is a Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School. Previously he was a Professor of Organizations & Strategy at Columbia Business School, and from 1995 to 2003 was a Professor of Organizations & Strategy at the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business. His research examines the formulation of firm strategies, strategic alliances, organizational design, new venture formation, and venture capital networks. He is the recipient of the 2007 Kauffman Prize Medal for Distinguished Research in Entrepreneurship and Columbia Business School's Dean's Award for Teaching Excellence. He received his Ph.D. from Stanford's Graduate School of Business and holds an A.B., summa cum laude, in economics from Carleton College.
