Challenge

The Sanergy Collaborative is committed to transforming the planet through a circular economy approach to farming, sanitation, and city planning. Their team needed help improving the power factor (energy efficiency) of a solar power system when demand was low and excess energy could not be fed back into the grid.

GLG connected Sanergy's Director of Engineering with a former engineering consultant at a major energy production company, who suggested multiple concrete actions the organization could take to resolve the power factor challenges, including adjustments to both machinery and methodology.
