Challenge
An Indian multinational pharmaceutical company wanted to understand the treatment of various types of cardiometabolic disorders in the U.S.

The GLG Solution
GLG's Research team facilitated a survey of 32 key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the U.S. to assess the treatment paradigm for cardiometabolic syndrome and other cardiometabolic disorders.

The KOLs that participated each had more than 20 years of experience in their field, and each treated over 80 patients with cardiometabolic indications specified per month using targeted product profile (TPP) drug combinations.

Outcome
GLG's research helped provide insight into the reasons behind the preference of prescribing different types of TPP. It drew out nuances such as how the KOLs understood safety and tolerance of patient profiles. This supported the client's decision about the need for an injectable therapy in the management of cardiac patients.
