Expanding Lifesaving Services for LGBTQ Young People in Mexico

Challenge
The Trevor Project is the leading suicide prevention organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ) young people. As The Trevor Project expanded their lifesaving chat and text mental health services from the U. S. to Mexico, they sought expert guidance to understand the Mexican labor market as they grew their team in a new region.

The GLG Approach
GLG connected The Trevor Project with experts from American organizations who had recently hired staff in Mexico, including the Director of Human Resources at an American manufacturer and a former Director of Talent Acquisition at Comcast, to discuss the differences between the American and Mexican job markets, options for remote work in Mexico, and candidate expectations around process, benefits, and salary.

Outcome
The insights had a direct impact, helping The Trevor Project formulate a salary and benefits package specifically targeted to the talent they were seeking.
